White biotechnology is an emerging field within modern biotechnology that serves industry. It uses living cells like bacteria, to produce goods. DNP Green Technology produces chemicals, such as succinic acid, using raw materials from agriculture and forestry, as an alternative to petroleum (oil and gas) feedstocks.
DNP Green Technology’s bio-based succinic acid production process is cost competitive with that of petro-based processes and has the further advantage of being “green”. DNP’s process consumes green house gases (CO2), providing the long term potential to generate carbon credits. Its core technology consists of a proprietary E.coli fermentation process and an integrated downstream process that has been proven at a large scale (80,000 liters).
Succinic acid has numerous market applications such as bioplastics and green plasticizers, polyesters & resins, non-petroleum additive for diesel to name a few.
